Aurelian is designed as a local-first reflection app.

Data Stored On Device

Aurelian stores your focus goal, preferences, morning check-ins, generated daily reflections, evening reflections, and local reminder settings on your device. The app does not require an account.

AI Reflection Generation

When remote reflection generation is enabled, Aurelian sends only the minimum context needed to generate the daily reflection to the Aurelian server endpoint. This can include your focus goal title, morning priorities, optional concern text, energy level, and a small set of candidate quote identifiers and quote text.

The app does not send your full journal history, unrelated settings, advertising identifiers, or provider API keys. If the remote endpoint is unavailable or returns invalid output, the app uses a local fallback generator.

Notifications

Aurelian can schedule local daily reminders if you grant notification permission. Notification settings are handled by iOS and can be changed in the Settings app.

No Advertising Or Tracking

Aurelian does not include third-party advertising SDKs and is not designed to track users across apps or websites.
